Martha's Vineyard Charter Fishing

Menemsha Charter Captain - Scott McDowell

Menemsha Charter Captain

Captain Scott McDowell knows the waters of Martha's Vineyard; he has been fishing the rips and rock piles in search of big striped bass and bluefish for over 40 years, more then 30 of those as a Charter Fishing Captain. Making the Lauren C. and North Shore Charters the oldest and best charter business on Martha's Vineyard.

Inshore or offshore, those years of experience translate into fish, lots of them! A personable and knowledgeable skipper, Scott works hard at making sure that your charter is not only successful but a fun filled experience. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or a first time novice, Captain McDowell will ensure that when you return to the dock you will have had a great experience on the water and that your arm will hurt from reeling in the fish.

The Copperworks of Martha's Vineyard

SCOTT MCDOWELL, Artist, The Copperworks

Captain Scott McDowell comes from a family of artists, so when he's not captaining his charter boat he can be found at his studio, The Copperworks of Martha's Vineyard, creating copper and metal art. A self taught artist he first started with metal in 1968 working with sterling silver. In 1971 Scott moved to Martha's Vineyard Island and opened a silver jewelry shop working in both gold and silver. The "Vineyard" is a fishing community and Scott's love of fishing influenced his work, he began to fashion fish out of copper.
